Hebrews 10:19-22
Notes
Verses
{And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT}{Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights… When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord… and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face.
Exodus 34:28-29, 35 NLT}{You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11 NLT}{Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Hebrews 10:23-25 NLT}
Quotes
N.T. Wright : Once you see who the Son really is, and the role He was always intended to play in God’s plan, you won’t want to go back to anything or anyone else.
(); A.W. Tozer : The ordinary Christian is satisfied to live just a little removed from the presence of God.
(Experiencing the Presence of God); A.W. Tozer : When a Christian breaks through the religious routine and experiences God’s presence for the first time, he no longer wishes to go back. He has found something so utterly satisfying that he loses his former attraction to the world and the things around him.
(Experiencing the Presence of God); Tim Chester & Steve Timmis : “Church is not another ball for me to juggle but that which defines who I am and gives Christ like shape to my life.”
(Total Church);
