Series: 10 YEAR CELEBRATION
REMEMBER THE STONES
September 01, 2019 | Michael Davis
Joshua 4:24
“Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.” Isaiah 46:9 (NLT)
Joshua told the people, “Purify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do great wonders among you.”
Joshua 3:5 (NLT)
When all the people had crossed the Jordan, the Lord said to Joshua, “Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe. Tell them, ‘Take twelve stones from the very place where the priests are standing in the middle of the Jordan. Carry them out and pile them up at the place where you will camp tonight.’” Joshua 4:1-3 (NLT)
Then Joshua said to the Israelites, “In the future your children will ask, ‘What do these stones mean?’
Then you can tell them, ‘This is where the Israelites crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’ For the Lord your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over. He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.” Joshua 4:21-24 (NLT)
“All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” John 14:23 (NLT)
“All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” John 14:23 (NLT)
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (NLT)
“Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” Matthew 16:18 (NLT)
IF WE FAIL TO REMEMBER GOD LOOKING BACKWARDS THEN WE’LL STRUGGLE TO TRUST GOD LOOKING FORWARD.
