Daniel 1:1-2
Notes
Daniel got to see God be God in his lifetime. WHY do so many miss seeing God be God? Answer - "We want to see God be God in the script we write rather than in the script He invites us to live in with Him."
How might we see God be God in our lifetime?
#1. Disappointment did not shape Daniel, his trust in God’s sovereignty did.
- We don’t need to understand His work to understand that HE IS AT WORK!
- He gives us His grace in order to give His grace to those who need it!
- As we are gracious to one another in the face of disappointment, others will begin to see the fzace of a gracious God.
#2. Availability to be used by God wherever God places you.
- God uses those who are available to be used.

Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were four of the young men chosen, all from the tribe of Judah." Quotes
Larry Osborne : “One of the telling marks of immaturity is a lack of perspective. Daniel saw things clearly. He grasped the big picture and responded to his trials in light of it.” (Thriving In Babylon); Charles Spurgeon : “We cannot always trace God's hand, but we can always trust God's heart.” (Sermons ); Larry Osborne : “Bloom where we’re planted. We’re not here by accident. You might think you’re insignificant. But you aren’t. Your far more important than you may realize. Never underestimate the power of the light you reflect. You might think it’s too dim to make a difference. It’s not. The darker it gets, the more powerful the tiniest of lights becomes.” (Thriving In Babylon );
