EASTER 2020

Series: EASTER 2020

EASTER 2020

April 12, 2020 | Michael Davis

“It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.  John 19:30 (NLT)

But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared.  They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.  So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.  As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.  The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive?
He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”
Luke 24:1-7 (NLT)

“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.”  John 1:12 (NLT)

“You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.  He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.”  Colossians 2:13-14 (NLT)

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”  Romans 8:1 (NLT)

“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins…  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ…”  Ephesians 2:1, 4-5 (NLT)

“Everyone who belongs to Christ will be given NEW LIFE.”  1 Corinthians 15:22 (NLT)

“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT)

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”  Romans 8:11 (NLT)

“Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.”  1 Peter 3:18 (NLT)

“He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life.  I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life.”  1 John 5:11-13 (NLT)

WHAT MAKES EASTER UNLIKE ANY OTHER STORY
IS THAT IT HAS NO ENDING, ONLY A BEGINNING.
