Why did Jesus come?

Jesus came to say something very specific: the gospel of God.

What is the gospel?

He came to bring something very specific: the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is the sovereign reign of God over all the world and over his redeemed people.

Jesus came not only to say that the kingdom of God was at hand, but he came to bring the kingdom himself.

Jesus brought the kingdom of God in part, but not in whole.

Jesus was not merely concerned with educating people about the kingdom; he was more concerned with telling them how to enter the kingdom.

Jesus came to bring God’s kingdom which requires that we turn back and embrace him. 

Who rules my life and to what kingdom do I submit?
