What a CELEBRATION this past Easter Sunday was! I realize that I use the word ‘EPIC’ a lot, but seriously, what we witnessed on Easter Sunday, well, even EPIC falls woefully short of ALL that God did.
Rather than use words, let’s try numbers for a moment…
54… that’s how many people entered into the waters of baptism to declare, “I believe that Jesus is the resurrection and life!”
10… that’s how many people acknowledged and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and then entered the waters of baptism to publicly profess that personal decision. If heaven rejoices over just one who turns to Jesus, then join me in REJOICING over the 10 ‘that we know of’ that turned to Jesus for the first time on Easter Sunday.
1680… between ALL four worship gatherings, that’s how many people gathered to celebrate that JESUS IS ALIVE!
245… that’s how many men and women SERVED on Easter Sunday. From KIDS, Creative (music, tec., video, photography), Hospitality (greeters, ushers, donut-passer-outer-people, golf-cart drivers, Cafe Baristas, facilities, etc.), and baptism attendants.
32… that’s how many songs the worship TEAM sang on Sunday between all four services.
1036… that’s how many Kane’s Donuts were eaten. And just so you know, the average Kane Donut calorie is ‘roughly’ 400 calories per donut. So collectively, we consumed well over 400,000 calories on Easter Sunday.
1800… that’s how many cups of coffee were distributed on Easter Sunday. That would be a little over 17lbs of coffee consumed.
By no means do these numbers encapsulate ALL that God did this past Sunday, but if you haven’t already, please STOP reading right now in order to acknowledge how GREAT OUR GOD is.
GENESIS… what God allowed us to be part of on Easter Sunday is but a foretaste of the Kingdom advancement that Jesus is inviting us to be part of.
GENESIS… what the LORD is allowing us to be part of in this season of time in this region, well, I hope that it not only humbles you as it does me, but that it also compels you to keep seeking first His Kingdom in ALL things.
GENESIS… I know I have said this MANY times before, but I say it so often because it’s true… it is truly a JOY to be on this journey with you!
