Conversations on race, sexuality, abortion and politics, well, these are all incredibly divisive subjects.
But as a church, we will not be silent on these things for one reason alone – God is not silent on these things. In His Word, God reveals His heart on each of these subjects. It’s the revealed heart of God that will not only shape our hearts but will also inform how we are to think, react and respond to each subject we’ll be discussing.
If I could sum up the BIG IDEA of Donkeys, Elephants and the Lamb, it would be this:
WE WANT ALL PEOPLE TO SEE THE HEART OF GOD IN THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
Our aim is to help the people of God understand the heart of God as revealed in the Word of God so that people far from God might come to know the Son of God. What our culture needs more than anything else is Jesus and His Gospel message – a message that brings hope, healing, restoration and reconciliation.
